After writing last week’s post about celebrity closets, it got me thinking about the renowned fashion designers of the world. Have you dreamed of wearing a gorgeous one-of-a-kind Oscar de la Renta evening gown or perhaps a custom-made party dress designed by fellow BG, Tracy Reese? There are so many wonderful designers who create beautiful garments from everyday wear to extravagant couture pieces.
If you could chose a famous designer (Project Runway contestants included LOL!), living or dead to design an outfit of your dreams, who would it be and for what occasion? You have asked a really tough question today. So many designers so little time. I’d love Isaac Mizrahi to design a great day dress for me that fits my body with a coat to match. I’ve long been a fan for his. I’d love a couture evening gown from Oscar for a formal in black made for me. Ahh. I could go on and on with this with just a little thought BG.
Yikes, this is a tough question, BGG. Especially since I’m not all that fashion-savvy. I did watch this season’s Project Runway and loooved Korto so I would definitely love to rock something from her.
BGG, sad to say but I’m clueless about designer clothes. I know what I like when I see it but I would never be able to tell you who the designer was. I do know that I would love to have one of them design a wedding dress just for me!
EMANUEL UNGARO!! Anything that man makes I would wear: ANYTHING!! I LOVE his creations.
I thought that I’d answer this question too…so as you could’ve probably guessed, my choice would be for Tracy Reese to design a dress for me to where to a formal gala! I just love her feminine designs.
I love Monique Lhuillier. I want my whole closet to be filled with all her clothes. If I had the money when I got married, I would have had her design a couture wedding gown for me.
I would have loved for Vera Wang to make me a one of a kind wedding gown. I almost hate high fashion so I’m not sure if I’d trust someone to make an outfit for me.
I would probably have to go with michael Knight from project runway as my designer. He is a genius!

I love absolutely everything that Jay McCarroll did on project runway!
I’d like to have Diane Von Furstenberg create a weekend getaway dress for me. Something simple, but fabulous that I could mix and match with things in my suitcase to make it new everytime. It’d probably be LBD, but who knows what Diane would come up with for me.

oh my gosh! this is such a TOUGH question…there are tons of designers i adore – i’d love to have a pantsuit custom designed by dolce & gabbana (they make the BEST pantsuits for women!) but perhaps i’d have to go with a wedding dress designed by monique lhuillier – because that will likely be the most special outfit i wear and her designs are just gorgeous…
Hard question to answer, so I can only tell you what I have in my closet- Armani Giorgio, BCBG, Kenneth Cole, Michael Korrs.

One word….Valentino!!
I would love a Valentino wedding gown one day. He is my all time favorite designer. I love how his collections all emboddy romance and elegance for a woman, whether that is interpreted in more modern designs or traditionally in his couture gowns. The attention to detail is also exceptional.
