Feeling Blue?

For all my beauty buffs, there seems to be a major case of the blues sweeping the makeup scene. After attending several beauty-related events, varying shades of blue kept popping up on various palettes. From midnight blue eye shadows to royal blue nail polishes, blue is definitely the fresh “it” color for fall. If you’re hesitant to try the trend on your eyes, give it a go on your nails for a less-shocking style.

Feeling Blue?

Who doesn’t love a great pair of jeans? With spring finally here, it’s time to take a look at the denim must-haves for the season. The great thing about jeans is that they’re durable and can be easily dressed up or down with tops or accessories. This season there’s something for everybody — skinny, cropped, flare, wide-leg, boot cut and capris are all in.

The latest trend is the return of the early-90s light, faded-blue hue! If you like to stand out in a crowd or have a hard time finding the perfect fit, check out Indi Denim, where you can customize your jeans online! From rinses to pocket designs, this site allows you to create your ideal jeans with the click of the keyboard!

We know that fashion is always changing, but one thing’s for sure — the denim jean is a timeless American staple that will always be in style.

What’s your favorite denim/jean look?

  1. Love love love those Gap Jeans and the Kenneth Cole Jeans. I’ve noticed that the Gap really accommodates for us taller ladies. Sometimes it is really hard finding a nice pair of jeans that hit below the ankles… and aren’t cropped.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the J Brand pair of jeans fit the model strangely in that picture?

  2. I agree with everything Miss Mika said.

  3. BGG, I absolutely LOVE all things denim! My favorite is the Long & Lean Gap jean (boot cut)! I also have a pair of DKNY jeans that are a show stopper. And I have to agree with Miss Mika…in fact all those models look strange. They are just too tiny. Jeans look best when filled with girl stuff…like hips and booty! HA!

  4. Who doesn’t love a great pair of jeans?! My favorite is any boot-cut or wide leg. I got a little nervous when they brought the straight leg jean back. Whew! I was too happy that the boot-cut and wide leg held on! We curvy girls need something to balance us out! 🙂

  5. I don’t even know the name brand of the jeans that I own. LOL

  6. i love all the jeans you picked! i prefer boot cut or straight leg jeans. ive never really been able to make capris look right. ive always feel like you should be kinda tall to wear those.

  7. kitty vodka says:

too bad we can’t wear jeans at the office, i love the really dark denim.

  8. Those Citizen capris are a good look for just $54. *Logging on to Nordstom.com*

  9. Oops, I forgot to add the “1” to those cropped Citizens for Humanity jeans — sorry T!! That would’ve been a steal for $54!! LOL!

  10. Darn!

  11. I love blue jeans – would wear them every day if I could! My faves right now are my trouser jeans. I will always love boot cut jeans and have no intentions of jumping on the skinny jean bandwagon! I’m going to try GAP jeans again – that is a hit or miss brand for me, but I like the pair you chose.

  12. Denim!!!! I’m on my way to Nordstom!! I love the Citizens of Humanity. I also love the Paige Denim wide leg.
Most of all your choices of jeans are perfect for us with some hips!

  13. Thanks for the Jeans picks. I don’t have the hips for a light wash. I’m a dark slight flare girl over here. I wish I could find some skinny jeans that actually fit everywhere. I’m on a quest.

  14. I rock the GAP long and leans. I swear, GAP makes the best jeans ever!

  15. fall into THE GAP! love them!!!

  16. I guess I will take a trip to the Gap for a pair of jeans. BGG, thanks for introducing me to the jean website, I will check them out soon too! You are going to bankrupt me!

  17. i love jeans especially ann taylor loft jeans. they fit my sista hips and behind. they also fit my budget. $54 or less.

  18. Anonymous says:

I love denim trousers. They’re my new favorite jean!

  19. I also love love love demin trousers! But I’ve only been able to get 2 pairs that look great on me. I can wear jeans that aren’t blue to work (I know it’s such a crazy dress code they created) So i’m always on a hunt for black demin! I’m thinking of getting into colored demin just so that I can wear them to work. I just have to get comfortable with the idea of wearing them!
