Luxurious Lacquers for Less!

Choosing the right nail color for this time of year can be tricky. Luckily, Borghese Cosmetics has created a beautiful array of hues with their Fashionista Collection to help transition nails from winter to spring. The Milan-spring runway inspired lacquers include 6 super saturated shades ranging from a tawny beige (Biscotti Beige) to a deep sparkly violet (Plumaggio Purple). My personal favorite is the barely-there Biscotti Beige because it gives your nails just the right amount of pigment creating a polished look. Plus, this lacquer doesn’t chip easily which is essential to a great manicure.

Shades from L to R include: Biscotti Beige, Bella Berry, Plumaggio Purple, Stellare Notte, Mezzanote Blue and Almondine. Some of the colors are difficult to differentiate w/this photo, but this is the best photo that I have. Lacquers are available at drugstores nationwide for $8 each.

**What nail color shades do you typically use during the transitional season? Are you a fan of brights, darks or neutrals? One lucky reader will win the Plumaggio Purple shade. Just leave a comment sharing your favorite nail polish shades. The winner will be selected randomly and announced later this week.

  1. I wear neutral beige or peachy/coral shade all year.

  2. I wear neutral colors.I also wear flirty colors as in pinks and lilac.

  3. I heart bright colors! Pinks, Reds, and blues in any shade. Can’t wait for the weather to warm up, so I can paint my nails pretty 🙂

  4. I normally go for the bright colors in the Spring. However, lately I’ve been wearing black! Don’t ask way. My favorite would be Opi’s Don’t Socra Tease Me. i will definitely be trying some of those.

  5. I have been rocking dark colors lately – OPI’s Lincoln Park at Midnight. Not sure what I’ll be rocking this spring, but the older I get, the more I like saturated colors – no pale colors right now.

  6. i am a fan of the brightest colors ever, and i love purple and blue shades.

  7. it depends on my mood! I like neutrals and bright or sparkly darks. (I know that sounds like an oxymoron.) I won’t wear dark unless it’s kinda vibrant. like a nice purple or dark ruby.

  8. I don’t normally wear nail polish, but I would love to start. I stopped wearing it because it always seemed to chip within hours of applying! My technique and the right nail polish is probably the reason, so it would be great to start with some quality polish!

  9. Hey BGG
I’ve never tried polish from this brand. My all time favorite color is probably You don’t know Jacques from OPI. I like both dark colors and neutrals.
    Have a good day.
