Revitalize with Vitamins!


Now that I’m a mom, I’m doing my best to stay healthy so that I can actually be around to see my daughter grow up. In order to embrace a healthier lifestyle, I’ve ditched my daily intake of gummi bears for a daily dose of vitamins. I’m currently taking a multivitamin with minerals and iron to help combat my anemia. Prior to being pregnant I never took vitamins, but now I’ve made them a part of my routine and the results have left me feeling more energized.

In fact, the American Medical Association recommends vitamin supplementation as a way to prevent heart disease. The benefits of taking vitamins are bountiful and I’m glad to finally be onboard!

Do you take vitamins? If so, what kind?

  1. vitamins are not my thing. ive tried different brands and taking them with and without food and im always nauseous…

  2. @Antithesis – Oh you should always take them with food. I’ve never taken them without eating something because I don’t want to have that nauseous feeling. UGH.

    Maybe try the gummi ones? They never made me nauseous – I used to eat them like candy!

  3. I started on a vitamin kick a year ago. At first they made me deathly ill then I realized I needed to take them with food but then it seemed like I couldn’t get enough to eat. I ditched those suckas with a quickness. Ok ok…maybe I need to give them another try. 🙁

    i take a womens multi vitamin, however they turn my urine yellow. is that normal with certain combinations of vitamins and minerals? when i dont take the vitamins my urine is perfectly clear

  5. The Viactiv vitamins for women are pretty good. They have an easy-swallow coating and they taste like berries.

  9. Another one for the nature’s valley.. I agree, they should be taken with food! Vitamins are so important.

  10. i take the hair, skin, and nails vitamins from gnc and a multivitamin. no nausea for me.

  12. I take the Centrum Multivitamin for women. I take mine everyday after lunch, that way I don’t forget.

  13. Did you really feel energy? They make me want to eat more and lord knows I don’t need that.

  15. I take multivitamins, that has pretty much all that I/we need in it. I also use Omega 3 to prevent hart problems etc.., then I use Biotin for healthier hair, stronger nails and better skin, then I use fiber suppliments, cuz I lack that.
