Springtime Skirts

I will be the first to admit that skirts are not my favorite article of clothing. For some reason I can never find ones that are both pretty and figure-flattering. So when I come across one that catches my eye and actually accentuates my shape, I have to have it! Quite honestly, I’d much rather wear a flirty dress instead, but here are a few that are darling!

  1. i like the nordstrom skirt at the bottom. i am a skirt chick sometimes. i have a few favorties. they are mostly wrap skirts. i love to wear dresses in the spring, cropped pants and sweaters, and pant suits. i was in ann taylor loft this afternoon trying on spring dresses. i found some, but plan to come back later in the month when they go on sale.
i will be able to use my 20% discount. i did find a nice black pant suit for less than $100 with the 20% storewide discount. i am happy cuz’ i have been dreaming about this suit for awhile. i can wear it as seperates and into the fall and winter. it is a great travel one too. okay i am rambling…. enjoy the week. thanks for the suggestions on skirts.

  2. That’s a tough choice to make. Skirts are more versatile, you can constantly change the shirt and accessories and it’ll look different. But dresses are much more care-free. It’s on piece. You can just throw it on a go.

I can’t decide, but all the skirts you posted are super cute!

  3. BGG, there is nothing like skirts! As t mentioned, they are easy to accessorize for a down look or a more dressier look.
I usually stay away from full skirts. I love J.Crew Python and S& D pencil Skirt. Although, your selection is tempting, I might give a try at the Polka Dot Skirt.

  4. I am really not a skirt person I prefer dresses. I actually decided that this spring and summer that I would wear dresses alot if not all the time.

  5. the “nora” skirt is really cute. i’m like you, i don’t really care for skirts. i never really liked dresses either. lately, i have been trying to add them into my regular wardrobe instead of on extremely rare occassions.

  6. I love springtime skirts with tees and flats. These are so cute. Thanks for the great photos.

  7. Definitely that time of the year where the skin is shown.

i def prefer d dresses because they are a combined top and bottom that you never have to mix or match. im into 1 pieces. im looking into wearing jumpsuits. or spacesuits. YES!

  9. I like long flowing skirts. I love long sundresses.

  10. I’m defintely a skirt person even though I don’t wear them that often. They just balance me out.

  11. BGG, if I had to choose, I’d pick a dress only because it’s so simple. The problem is you can’t get away with wearing it too often whereas with a skirt you can mix and match and no one is the wiser.

i like to see my wife in a dress…but i could see my wife wearing #1 or #4

  13. @ Everyone – Thanks for the comments!

  14. I love skirts. I have a short torso and long legs, so it’s hard to find dresses that fit quite right. But a skirt – just throw it on with a t-shirt and some earrings and you can’t go wrong. I really like the ‘campaign’ skirt with the graphic black and white pattern here.

I definitely prefer dresses but I still love skirts. I will only wear them in Spring and Summer though so I always look forward to the warm weather so I can show off a little leg. I love the eyelet skirt I might just have to get it. Thanks bgg!

  16. I definitely want to wear a bunch of pretty skirts this spring and summer.
